Project Life 2014 vecka 2

Week number two is done! I have continued
using Fridas titel page for the week and small
journaling cards for this spread.

Decorations: washitape, stickers from Jillibean
Soup, little "eyes" from a store called TGR,
a stamp with chevrons from Gummiapan
paper ribbon self adhesive in white and
the cool "like" stamp from Lagerhaus.

So; square corners to the left, rounded corners to
the right, in order to continue having rounded
corners on the next pages.

New post again on Thursday; welcome back!

Sunshine makes me happy!

SUNSHINE MAKES ME HAPPY!!!

Here's a layout I made about my best memory
from 2013 for a challenge at Helihak craft store.
Pictures are from Pontikonissi outside the
capital of the Greek island of Corfu. Near the
airport there is a path between Pontikonissi,
on one side of the bay and Kanoni on the other.
This is the place parents would take their
kids to take a closer look at airplanes
taking off or landing.

Papers and Decorations are all from Echo Park
collection Hello Summer. I love them! And I love
sunshine!

Project Life 2014 Week 1

OOOPS I was not aware of the habit of
making a kind of "first page" for the entire year,
so I just started doing Week 1 right away...

The papers are pieces of cardstock and the
designes journaling cards are made by a girl
called Frida and if you click her name you find
her blog! Only I managed to print cards out in
a smaller size and the page was all done before
I knew that these were not the ones to print...

Project Life week 52, Tenerife 2013

Another two pages for my first PL album
are ready! Papers from Echo Park Today´s
Story, some washitape, a doily, minialphas
and a lot of pictures from Loro Parque!

I'm still experimenting with everything; the
materials, how many pictures to use, how
much journaling and how much decorations?

There will be more...

Project life week 52

Surprised to see PL here? I'm pretty surprised
myself but here I am trying out something new.

These are my third and fourth page ever so have
patience. I have practiced with papers from Echo
Park "Today's Story" and my pictures from week
52 last December when we were in Tenerife on
vacations.

I had so many pictures (it was all so beautiful
in the Loro Parque (a zoo) so I didn't bother
to put much journaling in the pockets this time.

Other than paper I have used some washitape
and some self adhesive decoration lace. Do you
like it? What should I have done differently?

Woodland Winter

A double layout using a sketch from Creativica:

You can use any of them and the theme for this
month and participate in the challenge for the
month of January. I'm in the design team and
made this double as an inspiration. Can you see
which one of the sketches I have used?

Pictures are from February 2012 when step-
daughter had been here only a month. She was
fascinated by the snow but felt heavy moving
with all the sweaters, thick jacket, scarf and
gloves etc. But I took her out for a walk on the
ice one sunny day! She couldn't believe she
was actually walking on water! Frozen, but still...

Papers used: Woodland Winter from Bo Bunny
For more information about all the decorations,
check THIS blog out at CREATIVICA. Maybe
you'd even participate in the challenge?

I know there's a lot of flowers and snowflakes,
but you know I love decorations in clusters
sometimes... And it fitted well with this sketch.

Finally my first Project Life

I decided I would start trying Project Lift out too,
so I was inspired by Anki at Creativica who made
a page without any special PL products. I tried to
do the same, making this page for Creativica as
a project for the Design Team. I have used a
Double Dot paper from Bo Bunny to match the
green foliage in Greece, and cardstock.

Above I put some journaling written on the computer
and as for the name of the island "Korfu" I cut it out
from one of the brochures we got from the agency.

Beneath you can see a piece cut out from an enve-
lope; the Attika hotel complex had their own letter
head and even has their address on it:

Small letters are from Papir Design from Norway.
What do you think of my first attempt to try PL?

Easel cards

Past weekend I had a visitor. She's called Amanda
and is 9 years old. She very much likes to make
cards and other crafts so this time we agreed I'd
teach her to do an easel card. So she made this
one she has in her hand before trying to cut out
some dies in the Cuttlebug to make the other card.

Myself I made these cards to accompany her to
show step by step how to do. "Tack" means
"thank you". The papers are from my scraps.

Gefeliciteert - congratulations

GRATTIS!!

This card I made using a strange product for
the first time; it's that material that is called
cheese cloth. I have colored it with mist to
match the other stuff on the card.
Everything is in teal and white
(except for the little wood veneer butterflies)
and I have used Artisan chipboards from Pink
Paislee, punches from Martha Stewart and
different other products from my stash.

Challenges:

(in this case cheese cloth - new to me)

CREATING FOR CREATIVICA

Hello; I have great news to tell!
I have been asked to be a guest designer at
Swedish Scrap- and Hobby store called Creativica
for the first months in 2014! First I got a packet full
of papers and decorations and loved it at first sight:

So I made my first layout using some of the ideas
we got from Anna Dabrowska (aka Finnabair);
cutting strips off the patterned paper, placing some
decorations or flowers between patterned paper and
the mat, using the strips on the layout etc. So here's
my result:

The title "Seeing well in Copenhagen" refers to
my new sunglasses that are, in fact, prescription
glasses so I could actually see with them...

Some details: I have used ribbon from Docraft
(see Creativica blogpost HERE for all the details)...

... flowers from YouDo (above) and below
you see one of the white die cut hearts I
covered with Liquitex Glass Beads and
some glimmer mist.

That's all folks! Thanks for popping in!
